Chapter1. SEVENTEEN headed to island
1. Where you wanted to go when you heard that you are leaving for ‘One Fine Day’?
[WONWOO] I want to go to somewhere I can see aurora. A place where I can fee the nature with spectacular scenery.
[DINO] I want to visit hometown of members from overseas. Want to visit JOSHUA, JUN and THE8’s home and want to go somewhere surrounded with emerald colored sea.
[VERNON] I want to go Miami where my grandma is. Because it’s warm in there, all members don’t have to worry about cold and we can sleep outside in tents.
[DK] I want to go Switzerland since there cheese is great. Or a bike trip or take subway to have romantic trip to undefined destination with members!
-Will other members agree with it?
[DK] They will disagree bike trip.
2. How did you feel when you first arrived in island?
[S.COUPS] I thought there was “nothing” when I got off from the boat. Yeoseodo has about 40 houses and there are houses only in front of the island.
[HOSHI] I couldn’t see a thing when I got off from the boat since the sun set.
[WONWOO] First, I thought “What should I do?”.
[JOSHUA] I was surprised that there was no supermarket.
[S.COUPS] That’s right, there’s no convenience store.
[JUN] I was cold because of sea breeze.
[THE8] It was fun and fabulous at first.
[DINO] Although it was drift, I thought I could travel around. I regret that I didn’t take clothes.
[SEUNGKWAN] "I was devastated" I tried to have a little hope but since I expected something great so I was so disappointed.
3. Didn’t you know that it will be aired as 100% reality?
[S.COUPS] I exptected it would be 100% reality show since I had no information from ‘SEVENTEEN Project’.
[JEONGHAN] I was told “live on your onw”.
[HOSHI] I asked screenwriter “what were you going to do if you didn’t catch a fish?” and she answered “I was going to watch”.
[MINGYU] It was good to have regular life. I felt I’m becoming healthy as I feel morning breeze.
4. Which item do you regret that you did not include in survival kit?
[WONWOO] Things to play such as book, chess or go board. There were plenty of free time but I just slept.
[JOSHUA] I want to fill the bag with rice after packing toothbrush and toothpaste.
[S.COUPS] I was uncomfortable because I didn’t bring pajamas. In the last day a hole in my jeans got bigger than my palm.
[JEONGHAN] Training pants. I envied HOSHI when he could get changed. I slept with jeans on.
[HOSHI] Fortunately, I was comfortable because I brought training pants.
[VERNON] A book I was reading. There was a lot of free time but I had nothing to do so I wanted to read that book.
[MINGYU] It depends on people about things to do. I think I had a lot to do...
[VERNON] I had a lot of free time because I can do nothing than cooking and washing dishes.
5. You guys are especially related to island, have you ever thought about the reason?
We wonder why we are related to island especially. Don’t know why. Why is it so? Is it because we both start with ‘Siot (Korean alphabet)’. Is it because of ‘The Theory of Parallel Universes’? Amazing.
Chapter2. Seventeen in the island
1. Which food do you wanted to have the most when you got out of island?
[WOOZI] Fizzy drinks!
[WONWOO] ‘Braised Spicy Chicken’ with lots of red pepper paste. It’s my favorite food.
[HOSHI] Kimchi, salty and spicy... I wanted to have a seasoned food.
[DK] I love meat the most so I want to go to BBQ buffet and have fried kimchi and meat together.
[DINO] We tried best to cook but since we are immature at cooking so I wanted have proper meal at home.
2. People you had in your mind when you are at island?
[WOOZI] Producer who smiled and said let’s have fun.
[HOSHI] Carat! I wanted the fans to enjoy watching it.
[SEUNGKWAN] I wanted to see Carat the most.
[JEONGHAN] They were together but the members? I feel happy in everywhere if we are together.
[THE8] Parents. I usually video call with parents but I couldn’t for a week so I wonder if they worry.
[MINGYU] Accommodation. House in Yeoseodo was also good but I missed comfy accommodation. There’s nowhere more comfortable than accommodation.
3. A member who settled first?
Unanimously VERNON!
He thinks in positive way in every case and participate actively. He even wrote diary during free time. It was amazing that he enjoyed like he’s at home.
4. There must have been a lot of things that you tried for the first time but which one was the most strange and difficult?
[DK] I never expected making fire to be difficult like this.
[WONWOO] It took so long at first but time taken got shorter as we have know-how.
[S.COUPS] Cleaning fish. Please anticipate JUN’s skillful knife.
[MINGYU] Actually, I felt hurtful and weird as I cut the tummy of fish when I feel hungry.
[SEUNGKWAN] As I hear singer seniors’ songs I felt I am back in those time. I realized that people listened to the songs by CD player.
5. A member who showed never seen features?
WONWOO, JOSHUA, JUN and THE8! You will be able to see special features you never saw before through broadcast and only members knew.
6. Who was the most confident member revealing face without makeup on?
'MINGYU'. Handsome one is handsome whatever they do.
'DK'. It’s not that different with makeup and without makeup.
- Then who is the member you thought you should protect from revealing face without makeup on?
‘WOOZI’. He must have been confident because of his silky skin but he was not because of trouble on his face as soon as he arrived in island.
'SEUNGKWAN’ and ‘DK’. Camera was taking their funny face and actions but they acted as usual so I wanted to stop them and protect.
7. Have you eat well?
We did not eat well for 2 to 3 days but after that we ate well. In particular, VERNON gained weight even.
8. I heart that you grew plants from the garden, have you used them for cooking?
"The garden belonged to WONWOO” We had ‘Bibimbap’, ‘Bibim noodles’, food decoration and ingredients for wrap.
9. The most difficult points while preparing meals?
[VERNON] It was difficult because I had nothing to make.
[MINGYU] Managing amount to make was the most difficult thing to do. I worried what to make for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
[DK] I was in charge of soup and I was good enough to be a cook.
[MINGYU] DK was best at seasoning. He’s talented.
[DINO] Cooking is important but I care about hygiene too. It was messy as we had to do quickly therefore it was harder to get cleaned.
Chapter4. SEVENTEEN after having ‘One Fine Day’
1. Can you go for a trip to undefined destination?
[S.COUPS] I want to go anywhere if I’m with the members. I want to go for free trip with 2 or 3 cameras.
[WOOZI] It will be hard if I’m on my own but I think I can go anywhere because I’m with the members.
[WONWOO] I want to go for backpack trip. It will be good to decide destination as I go.
[JOSHUA] I feel reliable as there are many members.
[DINO] I have to think about it...
2. What’s your thought after watching the broadcast? Was it as good as you thought?
[SEUNGKWAN] I don’t regret since I showed real features and it was fun at broadcast.
[MINGYU] I think it will be more fun for the rest of the episodes. I don’t regret as I showed natural features and had fun.
[JUN] I feel relieved since I looked okay with face without makeup on. I worried about showing real features but it was good.
[THE8] I shot like usual naturally and had talked a lot than before so it was good.
[S.COUPS] The broadcast turned out to be better than we did. I could see production crews’ efforts. I was surprised that they found funny points and thankful.
3. What do you want to say to 'One Fine Day’ viewers?
[DK] Plan to show you it can be ‘One Fine Day’ if it’s a drift. Please anticipate SEVENTEEN who can do everything in a cool way.
[JEONGHAN] No more lying down JEONGHAN as you watch more episodes! Please watch as you will be able to see SEVENTEEN’s settling ability.
[JOSHUA] I hope you watch the broadcast if you want to know and see the real features.
